Fiber distribution tested with pressure-sensitive film
Kraft paper
The pressure distribution in the kraft paper is less uniform, indicating a less homogeneous paper structure. This can lead to reduced performance in pressing processes.
FibroPress
This material demonstrates optimized and more uniform pressure distribution. This indicates a higher paper homogeneity, ensuring better performance during pressing processes.
The comparison shows that FibroPress provides a more uniform pressure distribution and is therefore better suited than kraft paper for applications where consistent load distribution is important.

FAQ
FibroPress is our product range of high-performance press pads, specifically designed to support the pressing of high-pressure laminates (HPL) and technical plastics. HPL is used in applications such as furniture surfaces, countertops, interior fittings, doors, and decorative wall panels. It consists of multiple layers of resin-impregnated kraft paper, a decorative paper, and a surface foil, which are pressed in stack presses over extended periods at high temperatures.
During the pressing process, FibroPress ensures uniform resin flow, easy release from the press plates, and excellent environmental performance: it is recyclable and generates only about 25% of the waste compared to conventional kraft paper.
- Up to 40% cost savings through multiple reuses
- Around 15% less material required
- More uniform resin flow due to improved fiber structure
- Fewer “frosty edges” → higher yield
- Easy handling and release
- Environmentally friendly and recyclable
FibroPress comes in different versions, tailored for various HPL applications: for optimal heat and pressure distribution during pressing, for technical laminates and plastic components, or with anti-stick properties for easy release.
FibroPress can be used for up to 100 press cycles, available as rolls or pre-cut rectangles. The uniform fiber distribution ensures consistent pressure and better results in HPL production.
Tests show that FibroPress provides optimized and more uniform pressure distribution, improving performance during pressing and ensuring higher quality HPL panels.
Yes. Standard sizes: rolls up to ≤2250 mm wide, rectangles 300–900 mm. Other dimensions are available on request.
